With Lebron James gone, the Eastern Conference is wide open and the Washington Wizards look to make some noise.

It’s a pivotal year for the Washington Wizards. The East is up for grabs and everyone is gunning for the throne. The Wizards have a good opportunity at causing some serious damage and vying for the crown.

To perform at the highest level you need contribution from all aspects. The Wizards have a deep roster heading into the 2018-19 season, but that doesn’t mean that they can relax at any point during the year. They need to keep the foot on the gas the entire duration.

With high expectations comes high pressure. Washington is at the crossing roads. Many feel, that with all the talent, that this could be the last couple years of making a push before possibly having to go into rebuilding mode.

Fortunately for the Wizards, they have the players that can make sure that the time is now for them to be a top, possibly the best team in the East. They’ve made all the right moves this offseason at giving the team every chance to cease the opportunity at hand.

Scott Brooks has been in this situation before with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yes, he may have had more talent with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden, but he was able make that franchise one of the most relevant in the NBA. That’s what the Wizards organization is hopeful and confident that he can do.

With all that being said, people need to step up and showcase their talent in the spotlight. Let’s take a look at 5 players that will be under pressure heading into the regular season.
