1. Markieff Morris AKA Mr. Big Shot

We all were waiting the arrival of Keef and it was debuted last night. For as athletically gifted as Morris is, he’s always seemed to under perform to his true potential.

Surprisingly, Morris led the way with 28 points and 9 rebounds. He went 6-10 from 3-point land and hit some clutch 3’s down the stretch in the fourth quarter and overtime.

It was even more shocking that the Wizards were deliberately going to Morris at the end of the game. I get that he was on fire, but no one expected to see that. This ended up being one of the best games of his career.

Washington looked great when Morris was playing center. He gives the team the flexibility to be quicker and get out in transition more effectively.

The problem?

Now Morris has set the expectations to high for himself. He unleashed his full potential against the Blazers and now the fans are going to demand this on a regular basis.

The issue his entire career has been consistency. The big man is such a sporadic basketball player and it’s frustrating to witness.

Hopefully this performance turns the page on the past. The Wizards need another big man besides Howard that will be a threat to their opponents.
