3. Bradley Beal vs. Klay Thompson

Bradley Beal is coming off a clutch performance against the Blazers. He finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

In the first three games Beal is averaging 25.7 points per game. It’s only three games, but Beal is playing exactly as a superstar would. He’s determined to be elite and to have another All-Star Game Selection.

On the other hand there is Klay Thompson, a proven superstar in this league. He’s struggled in his first 4 games only averaging 14.3 points per game. If you are a Warriors fan this shouldn’t be too concerning. The Wizards don’t play any defense and he should be able to find his rhythm.

However, Beal plays more of significant role for the Wizards than Thompson does for the Warriors. Thompson plays third fiddle to Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, but is still an important piece nonetheless.

Thompson is a well-known defender and will give Beal his first real defensive challenge of the season. So far, Beal’s looked untouchable. He’s attacked the basket like I’ve never seen before which is encouraging.

I believe that Beal will take most of his shots from the outside since Thompson is a lengthy defender. Don’t be surprised to see the opposite from Thompson. He’s got the size advantage and should use it by hitting the block and getting his mid-range game going.
