The Washington Wizards look to bounce back against the New York Knicks and end their five game losing streak.

The only thing that the Washington Wizards have shown is how dysfunctional they are. It’s no surprise that the team has been struggling, but this is a game where they should take care of business against the New York Knicks.

Washington is expected to have it’s full roster Sunday night, which means that there are no excuses. The Knicks are 3-6, but are still one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

Hopefully the Wizards can forget about their recent woes and focus on the game at hand. These next three games give them a chance at regaining some lost ground. If they can take care of business against New York, it will for sure carry over to the games against the Dallas Mavericks, Orlando Magic, and Miami Heat.

Let’s take a look at the game details below.

Prediction

The teams played twice in preseason, which means that they are pretty familiar with one another. The Wizards have an idea on what’s about to be thrown at them and have a valuable opportunity to take advantage of it.

Wall needs to make sure that he limits his turnovers and gets his teammates involved early in the game. He needs to understand that he controls the pace and tempo of the game, so mentally he needs to stay focused and not let anything get his head.

Now that Howard was able to shake off a little rust, he should be even better than in his debut against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team is in the bottom two for total offense and defensive rebounding percentages. Hopefully Superman can realize that he’s the team’s only legit big man and do something about these rebounding issues!

The Wizards averaged 19 turnovers over the past two games. Taking care of the ball and improving their defense will be the keys to victory against the Knicks.

New York has a young squad and Washington should realize that they have mismatches from top to bottom. If Wall and Howard can improve their play just a little bit to help Bradley Beal out, then the Wizards should be able get this victory.

This is a pivotal game as the Wizards will go back on the road for another 3 game trip. It’s crucial that they get this win to obtain some momentum. If somehow they end up losing this game, then consider Scott Brooks to be gone soon.

But, let’s not jump to conclusions. There is still some hope to be had. I do think the Wizards will pull this one out since they are beyond desperate to get back on track.
