1. Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson was fun to watch during the prime of his career. The Golden State Warriors were giving him a look early in October, but nothing came from it.

His time for the Houston Rockets was mildly productive. You could sum it up as an up and down season. He played 22 MPG and averaged 6 points. Not bad, but should have been better in that Houston run-n-gun offense.

The 17-year vet brings two elements to the table; Shooting and Veteran Leadership. The Wizards roster has ego’s that are all over the place. There hasn’t been a presence to calm the team down when something goes south.

John Wall and Beal should be bringing this type of leadership, but they haven’t demonstrated it thus far. It seems as though they still need to look up to someone themselves, which is why Johnson is the perfect fit.

The year Paul Pierce signed with the Wizards was their most effective season in the past decade. His game was a little better compared to Johnson’s now, but Johnson could bring the same aspect to the team.

light. Must Read. Washington Wizards. Cleveland Cavaliers would be a good trading partner

I’m confident that Johnson could be fantastic off the bench and be relied on in the moments when the Wizards need him. His role could be identical to the one he had for the Utah Jazz, productive during the season and clutch in the playoffs.

This would be the best move the Wizards could make at this time.
