2. Markieff Morris vs. Aaron Gordon

This matchup will only be exciting because of Aaron Gordon. He’s averaging 16 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, while Markieff Morris is averaging 11.1 points and 4.7 rebounds. Gordon is also on pace to have his best year to date.

Morris’ production has suffered due to the return of Howard. Two of the last three games he’s only put up 4 points, which has been rather disappointing. Brooks needs to figure out how to get Morris and Howard on the same page because Morris is to talented not to be involved in the game plan.

Is it wrong that I really enjoy watching highlight videos of Gordon’s dunks?

He’s a high-flyer that doesn’t fail to entertain. Unfortunately for Gordon, he’s never been able to develop into the go-to player that the Magic had hoped for. But, there’s nothing wrong with just being an athletic big man who’s high-flying skill-set is extremely productive.

It’s obvious that Gordon has the advantage between the two. Kieff lacks on the defensive side so it should be no problem for the Orlando forward to have his way.

All signs indicate that Gordon will be the leading scorer for the Magic Friday night. I’ll be curious to see who Brooks throws on Gordon if Morris can’t get the job done.
