4. New York Knicks

The Wizards continue picking at the big market teams and turn their eyes to the New York Knicks.  Their assets are limited, but this a team who’s been salivating at the thought of signing the next Big Apple Star. The Knicks haven’t been relevant since the days of Patrick Ewing and even then, a title wasn’t hoisted in the streets of New York.

The Knicks would have to comply to take on both Wall and Porter’s enormous contracts in the deal, since their is no guarantee to sign Kyrie Irving this next summer. This can force the Wizards to build around Beal and some of the younger players.

Wall was hurt most of last season, which left the team to be led by Beal, and he responded. They weren’t the most appealing team to watch on television, but maybe that was a foreshadow of the secret formula the Wizards should fulfill with sooner than later

The future of Wall and Kristaps Porzingis looks really good on paper and can give Wall the most versatile big man that he’s ever been paired with. This would make New York an attractive destination for some free agents heading into the offseason. It’s a good trade for the Knicks since they wouldn’t be giving up that much.
