2. Los Angeles Clippers

The Wizards continue to pry and pick everything they can from the city of Angel’s, this time from the Los Angeles Clippers. They successfully completed the Austin Rivers-Marcin Gortat trade this offseason and Doc Rivers needs a superstar to put a band-aid on the missed opportunity he had in the Chris PaulBlake Griffin era. Not to mention, the Clippers are in need of an upgrade at the guard position.

The Clippers may think they are in the Leonard sweepstakes, but let’s be honest, it’s a long shot. The 2019 Free Agent class is deep and the Lakers are going to be heavily involved to lock down one of them to pair alongside James.

The available free agents are going to be more intrigued in playing for the Lakers with the winning atmosphere and dynastic history they present. It’s something any free agent, yearningly desires whether they voice it or not.

The team is better off focusing elsewhere. Who’s to say that with the addition of an All-Star caliber player in Wall, others won’t take a peak at the new look Clippers and give them a meeting. Either way, change is needed if this team is hoping not to be the bottom L.A. team at the Staples Center anymore.

The Wizards can reset, yet compete with a couple of pieces from the Clippers roster. It’s no secret that Patrick Beverly isn’t leading the Clippers to the postseason anytime soon.

Los Angeles may be able to put themselves in contention for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, but how long can they rely on the ageless wonder, Lou Williams, to bail them out?

A trade makes sense for both teams.
