1. Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal is the last person any Wizards’ fan wants to be traded. He’s only 25 years old and 3 years left on his contract (that’s including this year).

Washington needs to do everything in their power to try and keep the All-Star shooting guard. He’s been the player the team should have built around this entire time. Beal has all the tools to be a superstar and to lead a team.

This was demonstrated last season when Wall was out with a knee injury. Beal stepped up and carried the load and did so productively. Granted, the team slipped in the rankings of the Eastern Conference, but were still able to snag a playoff spot nonetheless.

The first option should be to trade Wall and see what type of talent they can get in return. If the team can get good assets, then there isn’t a need to do a full blown rebuild. They can slowly build around around Beal over time.

It’s obvious that Wall and Beal have never seen eye-to-eye. Beal wants to be in D.C., otherwise he wouldn’t have signed his last contract. Washington needs to show that they are committed to him going forward. That will ease not only the mindset of Beal, but the rest of the team as well.

As much as I don’t want to see him go, he’s the best trade asset the Wizards have. Team’s like that he’s extremely young and that he has a friendly contract. On top of this, he doesn’t have any attitude problems. He’s someone that can be immediately transitioned onto a roster without any problems.

Washington would be able to get tremendous value in return for Beal. I’m talking young assets, role players, and future draft picks. You name it and the Wizards could obtain it.

We will see how things shake out in the coming weeks. The overwhelming hope is that Beal stays to lead D.C.
