3. Kelly Oubre. Jr vs. J.J Redick

Kelly Oubre Jr. has been one of the few consistent bright spots for the Wizards over the past few weeks. It was obvious from the beginning that he was going to play himself into the starting lineup and he did just that.

His task will be a tough one as he guards one of most prolific shooters in the NBA, J.J. Redick. Every since Redick has come to Philadelphia, his game as amplified that much more. He’s averaging a career high 18.3 points this season.

The two-way game with Joel Embiid is virtually unguardable. Pick-n-pop or pick-n-roll, either one works so well with these two individuals. I haven’t seen a two-way game this effective since the days of Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire.

Redick takes great care of his body and doesn’t seen to age. Oubre will have his hands full tonight as he chases around arguable the best shooter in the league. Oubre can’t take his eye off Redick for one second, otherwise it will be costly.

On the contrary, Oubre will have Redick, most likely, guarding him to start off the game. If so, Oubre’s got to capitalize on this. Redick has never been known for his defensive efforts. He’s not the worst defender in the league, but Oubre should be able to get an effective shot off whenever he touches the ball.
