Currently the Washington Wizards stand at 10-14, just outside of the 8th spot of the Eastern Conference. It’s time to make some moves to help the team going forward.

Trade rumors have been surfacing for the past couple weeks now for the Washington Wizards. One thing is for sure, the team needs to make something happen soon.

The Wizards have been so hot and cold thus far this season. Some games we are able to witness the potential with all the talent they foster. The next night they lose by 20. To much inconsistency surrounds the team and it needs to be addressed.

Otto Porter is the perfect candidate to kick off the trade party with. Washington has a lot of versatile talent at the forward position that wouldn’t cause Porter to be missed.

The forward has only averaged 11.7 points this season along with 5.5 rebounds. These are his lowest numbers since the 2015-16 season. Disappointing would be an understatement when talking about Porter’s performance.

It’s clear that he’s been outplayed by Kelly Oubre Jr., who has been floating in and out of the starting lineup. The Wizards look like they don’t know what to with Porter. He doesn’t deserve playing time, but they are paying him a ton of money. Paying him $106 million dollars is outrageous.

It’s an easy solution, trade him. His responsibilities can be easily assumed by other younger talent such as Oubre and Troy Brown Jr., who both need more playing time. Porter’s game has a ceiling to it. He’s a 3-and-D player who has reached his max potential.

Here are 5 teams that the Wizards should trade with.
