3. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets was originally the team that wanted Porter. The Wizards had to match their offer-sheet, which ended up being a mistake on their part. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say that the Nets would still be interested in the small forward.

Rather than have multiple wing-men, the Nets would be able consolidate to one. Allen Crabbe has had a solid career thus far, but needs to play on a team where there are already superstars. He’s meant to be a role player and would fit that mold in Washington.

The Wizards could cut or keep Jared Dudley, doesn’t really matter. If they want another veteran voice in the locker-room then it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep him on the roster. They’ve been lacking some leadership in which Dudley could provide.

Spencer Dinwiddie would be the key to this trade. Caris LeVert is the prize possession moving forward for Brooklyn and they could afford losing Dinwiddie. He’s proven to be a young star that might have All-Star potential in him. If the Wizards are considering blowing up the roster Dinwiddie would be an asset that the team could build around.

Brooklyn would receive a good player that they originally wanted. Porter would thrive more in the Nets system since he would get more opportunities. Washington just needs to remind the Nets of what they originally saw in Porter.
