1. Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings were interested in Porter this past offseason as well. They are also currently keeping a close eye on the forward.

A trade for both teams makes sense. The Kings haven’t lost the desire to have Porter on their roster and the Wizards can obtain some young talent in the process.

Like the Suns, the Kings have a plethora of talent that they need to cash in. They sit at 11-11 and are off to one of their best starts in years. However, in a stacked Western Conference it likely that they will fall out of the mix sooner rather than later.

As I’ve be stating, the Wizards need another shooter. Bogdan Bogdanovic could provide an instant spark off the bench and serve well as Washington’s sixth-man. He’s a great shooter than can also handle the ball.

Justin Jackson is a great wing player. Doesn’t fill up the stat sheet to much, but he is a blue-collar player in which the Wizards lack. He’s only in his second year and the team could plan for him to be apart of their future. He’s got 3 years left on his contract and that’s a safety net given that Oubre could walk this offseason.

Iman Shumpert is a veteran that could provide stability on the floor and in the locker-room. Most of all he would bring a defensive identity to the team. It’s no secret that the Wizards have forgotten how to play defense. Shumpert would help address that issue immediately. It should be at the top of Washington’s list to bring on some defensive minded individuals like Shumpert.

Sacramento has been trying to get Porter for quite some time now and the Wizards need to take advantage of it. Washington, don’t be dumb and get some better assets from the Kings.
