Rumors have been surfacing about Washington Wizards All-Star point guard, John Wall, being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers or the New York Knicks.

So many rumors have been coming out regarding John Wall. Nothing has been said to be concrete, but that two teams that are interested in acquiring him from the Washington Wizards are the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks.

It’s a no brainier the Wizards should choose to trade with the Lakers between the two teams. They have better talent to offer.

According to Kevin Brook of Bullets Forever, Rich Paul has been trying to orchestrate a trade to get Wall to Los Angeles. Keep in mind that Paul is the agent for both LeBron James and Wall.

Supposedly, the deal would have the Lakers receiving Wall, while the Wizards would acquire Lonzo Ball, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and a third player, which would either be Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, or Kyle Kuzma.

If this trade was indeed offered, the Wizards are absolute idiots for not accepting. If Washington has the opportunity to get 2 out of the 4 young stars from L.A. then they need to jump on it. Now, different rumors have come out that it was just Ball and Pope or just Ball himself and if that’s the case then the Wizards should hold off.

But, how can you pass up an offer that includes Ingram, Hart, or Kuzma? Ball has shown potential, but he’s not worth a solo trade at this point. Let’s not forget that baggage comes with Lonzo. Lavar Ball is always around the corner ready to sound off his irrelevant opinion.

The Lakers have the young pieces that would help the Wizards create a good core foundation for the future. Especially if Bradley Beal is still on the team.

It’s no secret that the Wizards play better team ball when Wall isn’t on the floor. We saw that against the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night. Beal was able to lead the team to a lopsided victory as he produced 36 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds. In addition, the team had a season high 35 assists.

The chemistry is so much better with Wall off the court and it’s so blatantly obvious. Ernie Grunfeld and Ted Leonsis need to realize this.

As for the Knicks, nothing that they could offer would be that appealing. If they threw in Kevin Knox and a couple draft picks then the Wizards might ponder on it, but that doesn’t seem likely. New York has been desperate to become relevant once again. And for now, they will have to wait a long time before they become contenders.

Watching the Lakers thus far this season, it’s clear that the young stars get frustrated in playing with James. Currently, Los Angeles is sitting with a 15-9 record holding the 5th spot in the Western Conference. They don’t have to rush or hit the panic button anytime soon.

On the other hand, Washington is 11-14 and the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference. Panic time has arrived and will be looming around the team unless they go on a massive winning streak. The Wizards have demonstrated they can’t hang with the elite teams of the East such as the Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Time to shake things up. Call Rich Paul, get Magic Johnson and Pelinka on the phone and work something out. LeBron wants another star on the team right now and Wall fits the criteria. It would also look great for L.A. this offseason as they try and attract some top free agents like Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, and more.

Ernie Grunfeld could redeem some of his past mistakes if he could pull off a trade of this caliber. Don’t over think this Washington. Make a trade happen with L.A.
