The Washington Wizards head to London for another matchup with the New York Knicks. The team has had ample time to rest and prepare for this game since their last matchup with the Toronto Raptors.

Last Sunday, the Washington Wizards lost to the Toronto Raptors in double overtime, 140-138. Bradley Beal lead the team with a triple double with 43 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. It was a heartbreaking loss especially since the team played well enough to win that game.

Now, off to London.

The team has been taking in the sights and enjoying their time off. It’s nice to have just one game this week. It’s a mini-break that Washington needs and deserves.

Let’s take a look at the game details below.

Prediction

The Wizards are 2.5 games back of the 8th playoff spot and have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games. They’ve done enough to stay afloat, but this is a chance for them to gain some ground on Detroit, Orlando, and Charlotte.

Beal has been playing out of his mind, averaging 31.3 points, 6.9 assists, and 5.4 rebounds for the month of January. If he can continue this play for the remainder of the season then it’s hard to envision the Wizards not making the playoffs.

Washington is 2-0 for the season series between the two teams. The Knicks have a record of 10-33 and look as though they are tanking the season.

It shouldn’t be difficult for the Wizards to win this game. Thomas Bryant will have his way on the interior especially since Enes Kanter didn’t make the trip. He’s to busy worrying about the warrant out for his arrest. And with their leading score, Tim Hardaway Jr., possibly not suiting up, the backcourt of Beal and Satoransky will have no trouble establishing their dominance.

The starting five is clicking for Washington. Not to mention, Otto Porter has played fantastic since returning from injury. He’s been the spark off the bench that the team has needed all season long.

Wizards win in convincing fashion.

Final Score: WSH-117- NYK-100
