Final Grade: B+

Parker almost definitely exceeded expectation in Washington, sometimes providing the most exciting moments during hard to watch games towards the end of the season. If no one else remembers Parker’s short stint in Washington, the rims certainly will.

Unfortunately, Parker’s $20 Million team option for next season almost guarantees he won’t be a Wizard next season. That contract’s just a little too rich for Washington right now, no matter how many windmills Parker promises for next season.

Parker did show Wizards fans what life might be like with a skilled athletic “big”, though, even if he can be a bit undersized when played at the power forward position. It’s something the Wizards have sorely missed in recent years and something John Wall has publicly pleaded for.  Unfortunately, the two never played together, but Parker added a rim-rattling and rebound-grabbing dimension to the offense that’s been missing for some time. If they don’t bring back Parker to do more of the same next year, they should try and find someone who can do the same. Or something similar.
