We’re just a week away from the NBA Draft and the Washington Wizards have given no clear indications of what they’ll be doing with the number nine pick. Here are four forwards that the Wizards could add on draft night.

With the Washington Wizards still yet to name their new general manager, it’s still unclear the exact direction the team will go. With only a few players under contract next year and new Bradley Beal trade packages popping up on Twitter every hour, the future is anything but clear.

However, the draft will be on June 20th no matter what’s going on in Washington’s front office and the Wizards will need to pick someone with their ninth pick. Although their needs are many, the forward spot is remarkably bare after the team traded away Otto Porter Jr and Kelly Oubre last season.

Unfortunately, the Wizards didn’t get lucky on lottery night, and their misfortunes mean that the top tier and second-tier players in this draft won’t be available. Luckily, there should be a plethora of forwards to choose from when the Wizards are on the clock on draft night, some more attractive than others.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t find a good or even great player. Andre Drummond, Kemba Walker, Gordon Hayward, DeMar DeRozan, Joakim Noah, Andre Iguodala, Amar’e Stoudemire, Shawn Marion, Dirk Nowitzki, and Tracy McGrady all went ninth in their respective drafts. So there very well could be a franchise-changing talent sitting there toward the tail-end of the top ten.

Here are three forwards that the Wizards could wind up adding to the roster on draft night.
