Jabari Parker

Jabari Parker is another familiar face that the Wizards could bring back if they had a little DPE money in their pocket.

Parker was great for the Wizards last season after coming over from the Chicago Bulls at the deadline. Off the bench, Parker provided scoring (15 points per game) and rebounding (7.2 rebounds per game). There were some things that could have been better. Mainly his three-point shooting and ball control. All that considered, though, Parker was one of the few fun things about the Washington Wizards down the stretch last season.

Despite declining Parker’s $20 million team option, there was still “mutual interest” between the two parties before free agency started. Then as free agency was beginning, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reported Parker was not expecting to come back to Washington. Who knows what changed in that week of time, if anything, but he hasn’t been signed yet by the Wizards or anyone else.

Most likely, they’ll be back to their losing ways next season. At least we’ll have some highlight plays with Parker on the floor. If they signed him tonight, Parker might be the second-best player on the team after Beal (assuming John Wall is sidelined).
