Eastern Conference Power Rankings: Where do the Wizards Land

Bottom of the Pack
15. Charlotte Hornets
It is a tough time to be a Charlotte Hornets fan. After a few years of mediocrity, the Hornets are back to being one of the worst teams in the league with the departure of their star player Kemba Walker.
Their biggest offseason acquisition was signing Terry Rozier to replace Walker. While Rozier is no where near the player Walker is, he can play and is eager to prove that he is among the best point guards in the East.
The Hornets will rely heavily on Rozier next season as well as their young guys, Malik Monk, Miles Bridges, and PJ Washington. Expect the Hornets to be last in the East next season.
14. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a very quiet offseason. Their biggest moves came on draft night when they drafted two first rounders, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter. The Cavs expect both Garland and Porter to come in and contribute immediately.
Collin Sexton is looking to improve off his impressive rookie year last season. Also, star player, Kevin Love, is finally healthy.
The Cavs have laid a solid foundation for their future. However, their youth, lack of depth, and the possibility of trading Kevin love puts them near the bottom of the Power Rankings.
13. Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls also had a quiet offseason, but a very good one. The Bulls added Tomas Satoransky and Thaddeus Young in free agency, both solid starters who can contribute immediately. The Bulls also drafted Coby White, one of the highest rated point guards in the draft.
Lauri Markkanen has already showed that he can be a great player in the NBA and seeks to take another step forward. Zach LaVine, if healthy, can also be one of the best scorers in the East.
The Bulls have some solid talent, but not enough to compete for the playoffs.
