Starting Center: Thomas Bryant

Rounding out the starting five is another young piece that can be useful both in the short term and long term. After being picked up off of waivers in 2018, Thomas Bryant has been another young bright spot for the Wizards. At just 22, Bryant has come in and put the starting Center position in a chokehold after some solid play last season and to start this season.

After signing a very affordable contract in the offseason Bryant along with Hachimura should be able to grow at a solid pace while still being able to contribute now. After a quality Sophmore season, Bryant has come in and improved his scoring and rebounding numbers in year three. He still needs some work defensively, however like Rui, there is no reason to think Bryant cannot continue to improve.

Although Thomas Bryant might not be the Center you want for a championship-caliber team right this second, he still can give you good minutes and help this Wizards team back into the playoff conversation. As stated before he is still only 22 and has a lot of room to improve.

With the rest of the guys who the Wizards have and are trying to develop, Bryant is just another example of guys who can help lead the way for this new look Wizards team.

Another positive outlook for Bryant is he, unlike some of the other young prospects the Wizards have, has already had an opportunity to play next to John Wall. As a very solid pick and pop presence Bryant has shown that he can feast on defenders when playing alongside John.

TB is a quality Center and is the clear cut most likely candidate to be the starter when next season begins. He has a solid offensive game that will continue to get better and if he can improve defensively, he can form a formidable duo with Rui Hachimura for the Wizards for years to come.
