Besides the obvious snubs, there are some Washington Wizards we’d like to see competing in the 2020 All-Star Game festivities. Without further ado…

The 2020 NBA All-Star rosters have been announced, and the Rising Stars have been chosen. For Washington Wizards fans, the news didn’t come without a few snubs.

The obvious one was Bradley Beal. Despite putting up some gaudy numbers this season that rank him second in scoring amongst Eastern Conference guards, Beal was not selected by the NBA coaches as an All-Star reserve.

Just a week before being slighted by the coaches, Beal received the second-most player votes among Eastern Conference guards. Unless Beal somehow sneaks into the All-Star Game as an injury replacement, he’ll be one of the first players since 1984-85 to average over 28 points per game and miss the All-Star Game.

Fortunately, the Wizards won’t go totally unrepresented in Chicago. Both Rui Hachimura and Moritz Wagner were selected to Team World for the Rising Stars Challenge, which features the biggest and brightest first and second-year players. The only problem is they forgot to put Troy Brown Jr on the Team USA squad. Team USA is stacked with talent, boasting Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, and Trae Young, but Brown has shown he deserves to be mentioned among the best in his draft class, too.

But enough about the snubs and the exhibition games. Let’s talk about the contests that will go down in Chicago, specifically the Skills Competition, Three-Point Contest, and Slak Dunk Contest. The All-Star and Rising Star rosters are set, but the competition participants aren’t. So here are some Wizards that could crush it in Chicago.
