1. Keep Bertans in a Wizards Uniform

I’ve been an active member of the Latvian Laser’s fan club for a while now, and I would absolutely hate to see him in another uniform. His ability to stretch the floor as a consistent and reliable three-point machine has been extremely valuable to this team thus far, and should continue to have a positive effect in the future.

Per Basketball Reference, Davis Bertans has shot an astounding 42% from 3 point territory this season, production that is seldom seen by a player in his first season on a new team. If Bertans were to be dealt, his efficiency from long-range would be sorely missed on a streaky shooting Wizards team.

Even if the Wizards received a substantial offer for Bertans, no player of Bertans’ price value would match the dynamism he brings to this squad.

Evidently, I’m not the only person who wants to keep Bertans in D.C. long-term. Point Guard John Wall, who continues to recover from his Achilles tear, recently stressed his excitement over potentially playing with Bertans next season, as first reported by Chris Miller and NBC Sports Washington.

Think of it this way: Next season, Wizards fans would get to watch a starting lineup that will consist of a healthy John Wall, superstar Bradley Beal, rising star Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryant AND the Latvian Laser. You’re telling me that’s not a playoff team in the East?
