3. 2013 NBA Rising Stars POWER finish

Bradley Beal burst onto the scene in his rookie season putting up 13.9 points and dishing out 2.4 assists while shooting with a 41/39/79 split in his percentages. Those are some real numbers and he did it all at the age of 19.

But one thing that may be easy to forget about Brad Beal is that he’s absolutely one of the most athletic guards to play the game. I mean seriously, the dude can get up.

Case in point, check out this play from the 2013 Rising Stars challenge, where Beal gets the delicious no-look dish from Ricky Rubio and throws the thing down with AUTHORITY over a young Kyrie Irving:

He was set up pretty nicely there, but there was no way Kyrie was going to stop him. Beal’s max vert at the 2012 NBA combine was 39″, only surpassed by Harrison Barnes (39.5) and Damian Lillard (39.55).

If I need a finisher at the rim, Bradley Beal is my choice, and I’m sure Washington Wizards fans can agree. But that’s not the featured part of his game, so it’s just an added bonus for our Wizards team and his sneaky (for some reason) athleticism constantly comes in handy.
