3. Davis Bertans
Grade: A
Acquiring Davis Bertans last offseason was probably Washington’s biggest steal in recent history. General manager Tommy Sheppard brought in Bertans for basically nothing from the Spurs, and his impact on this team has been extremely valuable.
Averaging well over 40% from the three-point arc, Bertans will represent D.C in the Three-Point Contest this All-Star weekend. As a lethal three-point specialist, Bertans demands constant attention from opposing teams due to his ability to catch and fire a three in the blink of an eye, which leads to his teammates having easier looks in return.
“He’s the cockiest blank blanker in the world.”

And as much love as Bertans rightfully gets as a three-point shooter, his 6’10 frame has the capability of driving to the basket and creating looks in the paint.
Last few possessions, Davis Bertans is showing that "more than a shooter" rep.

Dives to the rim for a dunk after a give-and-go with Napier, then delivers a beautiful touch pass to Wagner.
All tied up at 38-38
At the beginning of the season, I don’t think anyone could’ve guessed how much Davis Bertans would mean to this Wizards team. His success has been inspiring and will need to continue in order for the Wizards to make any noise in the near future.
