2. A potential playoff push?

Believe it or not, the Washington Wizards are on the playoff bubble. There’s a lot to be said about playoff experience for a young core of players, so a playoff push isn’t necessarily the worst thing although it slightly lessens our odds in the draft lottery at a top pick.

Must Read. 7 teams the Washington Wizards can hope to emulate if they get 8th seed. light

The fact remains that this Wizards squad is just three games out of the playoff hunt . While they have the 4th toughest schedule remaining in the entire league, the Chicago Bulls have the 6th hardest and the Orlando Magic are playing terrible basketball going 3-7 over their last 10 games.

They playoffs are a possibility and it can really be a boon to the young guys mentioned on the previous slide. Playoff basketball has been known the propel the growth of some great players in the past, and perhaps it can do the same for Troy Brown, Rui Hachimura, Moritz Wagner, and company.

With that propellant, the Wizards would finally have the supporting cast worthy of John Wall’s return, making next year’s playoff run one for the ages. That’s the goal, anyways.

An 8th place finish would most likely give us a matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks and a quick out, though. So don’t expect much, but snagging a win may be the best thing that happens this season.
