We are back again with another edition of Mailbag Monday! This week we will be answering questions from Washington Wizards fans about Garrison Mathews, Davis Bertans and more!

Basketball is back following the All-Star Break! Unfortunately for the Washington Wizards they came back and put up a dud in their first two games after the break. Their 113-108 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday was underwhelming and the 126-117 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday was just as ugly despite Bradley Beal dropping a career-high 53 points.

The good thing, though, is there is still a lot of basketball left to be played with the second half ready to get back into full swing. A lot of people will be interested to see if the Wizards have what it takes to make that late playoff push as they are currently 3.5 games back of the East’s final playoff spot.

Although this may be the focus, I think the main goal for the rest of the season will be to see how the young guys develop. It seems like the Wizards have a plan in place to get back into contention moving forward, but it will be important to see which of these young prospects can come in and contribute at a high level for years to come.

Guys like Rui Hachimura, Moritz Wagner, and Thomas Bryant have shown they will be a part of what the Wizards are building and will need to be watched closely to see how they can grow in order to be integral parts of this young team moving forward. Other guys like Isaac Bonga, Troy Brown Jr., and Jerome Robinson will also get the chance to show that they can be crucial building blocks for the future.

With that being said, there are a lot of questions that still face the Wizards as they get ready for this second half of the season!

This week we have another great set of questions for our Mailbag Monday! If you want to be featured on a future edition of Mailbag Monday make sure to tweet us,  @WizofAwes!
