The Washington Wizards are all set to visit the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center March 1st. The date Steph Curry is set to return.

The game between the Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors set for March 1st wouldn’t normally raise any eyebrows this season as both teams are mediocre at best. That all changed when The Athletic’s Shams Charania tweeted confirmation late Tuesday afternoon that superstar Steph Curry would for sure make his return in that game.

For days that had been the rumor, and with Curry’s original timeline set at three months back on November 1st, this is a little later than expected but I’m sure welcome news for Golden State Warriors fans.

I’m equally sure that the Warriors have no intent on handing him a full workload right out the gate, nor do they have much incentive to give him heavy burn once he gets up to full speed in a season where there record stands at 12-45. Even if they won out every single game from here until the end, they have zero chance of making the playoffs.

If you check StubHub, for tickets, you’ll see that the Warriors game against the Sacramento Kings at home tonight has tickets starting at $30 on the day of the event. The lowest price ticket for March 1st’s contest is double that at $60 and there’s only one reason that would be the case because, despite his recent scoring outburst, people aren’t exactly throwing money to see Bradley Beal play basketball.

In his career, Curry is averaging 28.1 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.2 rebounds in 19 games against the Washington Wizards. Curry was putting up 20.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game on the season before he hurt his hand.

Next. How historic is Washington Wizards’ 1-8 record when Beal scores 40+?. dark
