Player Profile:

Projected to go 12th overall, Precious Achiuwa should be available when the Washington Wizards make their selection. The 6’9″, 225-pound forward from Memphis is known for his explosiveness and aggression.

He’s a slasher, so he isn’t exactly the type of swing forward that the Wizards are looking for, but he’s a solid pickup and has insane athleticism that should help him blossom into a player like Maurice Harkless, or maybe Travis Outlaw. But his ability to attack the rim is undeniable and would be a lot of fun for Washington fans to watch.

Some mock draft have him slipping into the 20’s, so if the Wizards could trade down for him, that would be preferable, but drafting him in the 8-10 slot isn’t the end of the world either. The problem is that he doesn’t have a polished offensive game and is only shooting 31.4 percent from the perimeter at Memphis this season.

But perhaps he could be a welcome fourth or fifth option on the offensive end behind John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Rui Hachimura for the 2020-21 Washington Wizards. Either way, he definitely will not be a slouch on the defensive end of the ball, which happens to be the side of the ball where the Wizards need the most help.

His EWA stand at two, making him a decent contributor similar to Ish Smith, though not a game changer.
