When Will John Wall Return?

Speaking of John Wall‘s backup…what about John Wall.

A little extra time in the middle of the season complicates things for everyone, but it really complicates things for a guy on the cusp of returning from injury. Especially when that injury, or series of injuries, has kept him off the court for over 15 months.

The Wizards won’t really have anything to play for IF (big if) there are any more basketball games this season. However, by the time the league is back in action, Wall could be healthy enough to play. Now, will he be in shape is another question entirely.

The Wizards have stuck to their guns all season, insisting that Wall won’t be back until next season. Before, that meant he wouldn’t be ready for a final stretch in March. But what about a final stretch in June?

Of course, this season could just get squashed, altogether, or we could just fast forward to the playoffs once play resumes. Both of those scenarios would answer this question for the Wizards. But who knows. It’s an unprecedented and uncertain time, for the NBA and for John Wall. And a little extra time isn’t providing answers to any questions. At least not immediately.
