At 6’6″, Joe Harris is a good bit smaller than the 6’10” Davis Bertans. So in terms of being a positional replacement, Harris wouldn’t fit the bill. The Wizards would still need to add someone to their frontcourt.

But what Harris lacks in size, he makes up for in shooting ability. It’s there that he could serve as a replacement for Bertans.

If the Wizards lose Bertans, what they’ll be missing most is Bertans’ insane ability and efficiency from behind the arc. He currently ranks 7th in three-point field goal percentage and 7th in total three-pointer made, and he’s the only bench player currently among the top ten for three-pointers made.

Harris hasn’t quite matched Bertans’ production this season, but he’s not far behind. A few spots further down on the list of three-point percentage leaders, at 15, you’ll find Joe Harris. Bertans is shooting 42.4 percent from deep this season. Harris is a nearly comparable 41.2 percent.

Even though Harris doesn’t have the same productivity this season, he’s proven he can do it season after season. Per Basketball-Reference, Harris has shot over 41 percent from outside while attempting at least 4.5 threes per game for each of the last three seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. This is the first time in Bertans’ four-season career that he’s matched those benchmarks.

Harris might not have the size, but he has the shooting ability.
