With the Washington Wizards preparing for the NBA Draft Lottery, let’s take a trip down memory lane to see how the Wizards have fared.

With the 2019-2020 NBA campaign officially in the books for the Washington Wizards, they now look to the NBA Draft Lottery as their first piece of offseason business.

The Wizards enter the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery with the ninth-best odds at the number one pick. They may not find their saving grace this draft, but they can definitely come away with a quality player who can help them both now and in the future.

Before we get too excited about who the Wizards will be taking in this year’s draft, let’s take a look back at how the Wizards have fared in the lottery over the past decade.

Now, keep in mind that the players who made this list are their past five lottery selections. So this list will not include guys like Troy Brown Jr. or Kelly Oubre Jr. (both selected with the 15th pick). It will also not include any lottery picks that may have been traded (the Wizards moved their 2016 lottery pick, 9th overall, for Markieff Morris). We’re only looking at players the Wizards drafted in the lottery.

Some of the picks on this list may make you laugh, some may make you cry, and some may make you smile.

So with that, let’s dive in and look at the top five Washington Wizards lottery picks from the past decade.
