John Wall’s Return

The Washington Wizards haven’t been to the playoffs in either of the past two seasons. One primary reason for their absence: John Wall’s health.

John is coming back from a nearly two-season injury absence. He tore his  Achilles, and besides an ACL injury, the  Achilles is probably the worst possible basketball injury a player can suffer.

The Washington Wizards have needed his help in the point guard position since he’s been injured. Although the Wizards got decent point guard play out of Ish Smith and eventually unlocked Troy Brown Jr in the bubble, John Wall is still THE point guard in D.C. It’s no secret that they’re counting on him to come back and be as impactful as he was pre-injury.

Recent footage, and word from Wall himself, make it seem that when he returns, (hopefully) he will be at 100 percent.

We’ll see if how long it takes for Wall to get back to his old form, if he can ever get there. But adding him to this team should instantly improve just about everything the Wizards do. With John’s come back next season, the Wizards could actually be contenders in the playoffs.
