John Wall isn’t the only weapon the Wizards will have next season. Bradley Beal is coming off the best season of his career, averaging 30.5 points per game for the whole season! His numbers this season were All-NBA caliber.

Then, we have Rui Hachimura, who is a contender for the NBA all-rookie team after the best rookie season we’ve seen from a Wizards since Bradley Beal came into the league. There’s no reason to believe he can’t improve this offseason and in year two, as well.

Next, we have Davis Bertans. Davis averaged 15 points per game and had the sixth-best shooting percentage from three in the whole league via Basketball-Reference. He had a stellar year, which awarded him an invitation to the three-point contest during All-Star Weekend. Re-signing him is the Wizards’ top offseason priority.

With those four, the only position missing is the center position. The Wizards currently have Thomas Bryant and Mo Wagner at center. However, with the Wizards receiving the ninth pick in the draft lottery, the Wizards have a good chance of adding a big man.

The Wizards, who have mentioned trading up in the draft, could go after James Wiseman or Onyeka Okongwu. Or they could hope one falls to them at nine. If not, there’s plenty of other talent to choose from within the top ten.

They’re not in a terrible draft spot. They got a stud at number nine last season (Rui Hachimura), why can’t they do it again?

So John Wall, Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans, [rookie stud]? Not bad. Not bad at all.

This sounds super promising, right? Not so fast, there’s still coach Scott Brooks.
