On December 13, preseason kicks off for the Washington Wizards in Brooklyn! Here are three positional battles to watch for in a shortened training camp.

Training camp is here! It’s all kind of crazy if you really think about it. The Los Angeles Lakers were just crowned 2019-2020 NBA Champions less than two months ago. 72 days is the shortest offseason in the history of all major sports! We are in unfamiliar territory once again due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but I trust Commissioner Adam Silver will continue to protect all parties involved.

The NBA did not have a single positive test in the bubble down in Orlando, which was amazing! With all 30 teams outside the bubble for the 2020-2021 season, things may get a little dicey because of the normal travel schedule. But the safety of everyone is still the number one concern. The NBA-NBPA already released a set of CORE Health and Safety Principles that teams must strictly adhere to and follow daily.

The Wizards head to Brooklyn on December 13 to face the Nets in their first preseason game. They’ll play a total of three preseason games, with the last two being at home vs. the Detroit Pistons. With training camp being limited to two weeks, teams will have to build chemistry quickly. The Wizards must figure out their rotations and get new acquisitions acclimated on the fly.

With all that being said, let’s take a look at three positional battles to keep an eye on in Washington’s shortened Training Camp!
