The Washington Wizards take on the Boston Celtics and all eyes will be on the two duos. Which pair of premiere hoopers would you want?

Have you ever played the video games Mortal Kombat or Dragon Ball Z? Growing up, playing these games against buddies was a perfect way to have a hella fun Saturday. For Dragon Ball Z, I always started the 2v2 match with Vegeta. Calculated, cocky, ruthless, and full of energy – his big bang attack signature move ended many matches with buddies. But if Vegeta was taken off of the board, it was Frieza. This was my go-to duo.

And as for Mortal Kombat, I always picked Sub-Zero and Scorpion.

Anyway, watching these early NBA games reminds me of back then: Choose your duo. Is it Atlanta’s pairing of John Collins with Trae Young? Or is it the City of Brotherly Love’s duo of unicorns, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid?

Perhaps you’d take Big D’s duet, KP and Luka Doncic? Or do you prefer Brooklyn’s pair of Kobe disciples, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving? Maybe you’ll select what the bayou’s serving up, a gumbo of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson?

Or do you favor what’s brewing with Giannis and Middleton? Or what’s growing in the Rockies, as the Mile High’s duo of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic are scaling upward? Rip City’s duo of CJ and Dame?

And don’t forget Washington’s duo: Brodie and Beal. So far, their play is exciting, even if the wins are fleeting. And tonight, we get a 2v2 vs. Boston’s Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. In the spirit of 2v2, we have our site expert, Ethan Smith, and myself going against Boston fanatics, Jose and Pat. Who is the better duo? Who will walk away with the win? Let’s dive in.
