Can the Washington Wizards make it two wins in a row after beating the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday? Here are 3 things to watch for as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers!

Do the Washington Wizards have the Brooklyn Nets number? Ok. That may be a little extreme, but they’re now 2-0 against the Nets this season! Washington beat Brooklyn, 149-146, in another nail-biter. Once again, it came down to the final possession as Luwawu-Cabarrot missed a potential game-winning layup, and Bradley Beal sealed the deal with two free-throws. A total of four points has decided the Wizards’ two wins vs. the Nets this season.

The Wizards desperately needed this win as they were on a four-game losing skid. Hopefully, Washington will build some confidence after taking down a top Eastern Conference team for the second time this year. Yes, the Brooklyn Nets were without James Harden because of a thigh injury, but they’re still a very talented team without him. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for 63 points, and Joe Harris added 30 points of his own while knocking down eight three-pointers.

Somehow, the Wizards withstood the offensive onslaught by the league’s highest-scoring team and came out with a victory. Washington’s two superstars, Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook showed up big with 78 total points and two clutch three-pointers in what was their best game together. When healthy, they can hang with any team in the NBA, but it’s time to really prove it and string some wins together. Tonight, against the Portland Trail Blazers, is their chance to extend the winning streak to two.

Here are three things to watch when the Portland Trail Blazers come to D.C. to face off against the Washington Wizards!
