The Washington Wizards should be looking to upgrade their forward rotation at the NBA trade deadline.

The Washington Wizards will probably be relatively quiet during the NBA trade deadline frenzy that is sure to explode any moment now with the first of many Woj bombs. The reports and rumors of players being made available or being “monitored” are coming fast and furious.

Unless they’re making Bradley Beal available, the Wizards don’t have many coveted assets on their roster. However, everyone is tradeable (except Alex Len), so the Wizards could, and should, make some moves before trading ceases for the season on March 25.

Here are three forwards that the Washington Wizards should target…

Jabari Parker: Power Forward, Sacramento Kings

What’s better than a reunion? Jabari Parker had a cup of coffee with the Washington Wizards during the end of the 2018-19 season. Is it time to give him another shot?

Although Parker was pretty solid during his short stint in D.C. (15.0 points, 7.2 rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench), he wasn’t retained. Now with the Sacramento Kings, Parker is entirely uninvolved. It shouldn’t take much to get a guy who has only appeared in three games this season.

The Wizards currently lack three-point shooting, and Parker, a career 32.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc, wouldn’t help them in that department. But he’d be an efficient scorer off the bench. During his 25 games as a Wizard, Parker shot 52.3 percent from the floor. That would be helpful when Bradley Beal needs a breather.

When Beal steps off the floor this season. the Wizards offense stalls out, and the offensive rating drops to 98.6. Parker would definitely help keep the points pouring in while Beal sits.

In a small role that allowed Parker to do what he does best (score), and little more, Parker was effective for the Wizards just two seasons ago. If he’s available, it might be worth running things back.

Parker will be an unrestricted free agent at end of the season.
