Washington Wizards Burning Questions: Is Bradley Beal Going to Put All Parties in a Bad Spot?

Suddenly, it feels like the Beal situation has gotten to the point where all parties involved may have missed out on the best possible outcome. The current roster around him isn’t close enough to top teams in the NBA and there’s little reason to think it will be able to get there anytime soon.

Beal, meanwhile, has been making some interesting comments to the media while not providing the level of play we have seen him display in years past. The shooting is bad on an already bad shooting team and he has far too many games this season where he seems disinterested in scoring the ball.

Scoring is his greatest asset. His play could very well be lowering the price teams would pay to trade for him. It could also be concerning Wizards management about the thought of paying him long-term again.

They must see the ceiling a team has with him as the best player. Beal has had the chance to display great leadership this season and has mainly shied away from the opportunity.

What’s next is a great question. It feels like the Wizards won’t play it right because they don’t do that often these days. At the same time, it feels like Beal is not playing it right for himself and his future.
