The Washington Wizards are will look to snap a five-game losing streak Tuesday night as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks in Milwaukee. The game will be nationally televised on TNT, though the league may be second-guessing that choice.

The Wizards are going to be without Bradley Beal, which won’t make it any easier to get out of the rut they currently find themselves in. The Bucks are 31-21 on the season but only 5-5 in their last ten games.

No matter their recent record, the Bucks are far and away the better team and have plenty to play for. The top of the Eastern Conference is a super tight race and any of those teams will view the Wizards as someone they need to take care of in order to earn one of those top seeds for the playoffs.

Washington Wizards vs Milwaukee Bucks Odds

According to WynnBet,  the Bucks are -10.5 (-115) and the total for the game is 229. Double-digit spreads are tough to cover in the NBA but that number speaks volumes to how poorly things are going right now in Washington.

According to Covers.com, the Wizards are 7-18-1 against the spread in their last 26 road games. The Bucks, on the other hand, are just 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games as a favorite. Something has to give, obviously.

Eight of the last nine games between these Eastern Conference foes have gone over the total. That trend will only continue if this game turns into an offensive battle, something that would be a change from both teams’ most recent performances. The Wizards scored 95 points last time out while the Bucks scored 100 points in their most recent game.

Washington Wizards vs Milwaukee Bucks Prediction

It would be hard to see the Wizards snapping out of their funk with Beal, without him it is nearly impossible to argue their case in this game. Although winning by 11 isn’t easy at this level, I expect the Bucks to do just that tonight.

Where the Wizards will get the playmaking and scoring without Beal is hard to say. The Bucks know they should win this one and will come out looking to take care of business right from the opening tip.

I expect the total of the game to go under, which is the more safe bet of the two given the large number on the spread. The Bucks will have no issue scoring in the half-court while the Wizards should struggle to score in the half-court themselves. The perfect recipe for an under.
