Potential Trade Destinations for Wizards Big Man Montrezl Harrell
Trade Destination for Wizards Montrezl Harrell: Dallas Mavericks
Last but not least is the only Western Conference team to be included in this list. The Mavericks have a superstar in Luka Doncic and a great player in Kristaps Porzings but seem unsure of where they should go after that.
They want ball-handling relief for Luka and another scoring threat, which makes complete sense. While Harrell wouldn’t help the ball-handling he would certainly be another productive scorer for the Mavs.
Due to Porzingis’ ability to stretch the floor and help at the rim, he could play alongside Harell with ease. Harrell would also be an insurance policy in case Porzingis misses any time with injury as he has a few times in the past.
If healthy, Harrell still would hold great value because of his ability to take some of the burden off of the Mavericks established scorers. Luka and Porzingis would have the chance to take longer rests without having to check in early because the team is struggling without them offensively.
A young player like rookie Josh Green could be the building block for a fair trade. Dwight Powell would need to be added for financial purposes but he is not an issue to have short-term if it means getting someone like Green and maybe another young player back.
Big man Moses Brown has flashed potential and is on a cheap multi-year deal. He doesn’t have to play right now but would add to the Wizards stable of young centers with good upside. Dallas would become that much more of a threat in the playoffs by adding a proven asset like Harrell to their rotation.
