Wizards vs 76ers Prediction
Still without Bradley Beal, the Wizards are now 1-12 against the spread (ATS) in their last 13 games as their season is quickly falling apart. Now they’ll face a 76ers team on a five-game winning streak that just beat an excellent Grizzles team without Joel Embiid. No biggie, right?
Washington ranks just 24th in the NBA in net rating (-3.9) during this 13-game skid while the 76ers are 4th (6.8) in that same time frame. Without Beal, I don’t see how the Wizards can score on a dominant defense spearheaded by Embiid. They’ve failed to score 100 points in three of their last four while the 76ers have scored over 100 in seven consecutive games.
This sets up as a brutal matchup for Washington and I’m happy to keep fading them until further notice. With trade talks ramping up as teams look to acquire Beal, there’s some turmoil in the organization that’ll weigh on the players as well.
I’ll take the 76ers -10.5 (-110) to keep rolling as Embiid continues his MVP tour and takes advantage of a Wizards team that just can’t wait to get to the offseason.
