Potential Wizards Trade Partner: Sacramento Kings

Last but certainly not least, the best-case scenario for the Wizards on draft night might be working out a deal with the Sacramento Kings. The Kings have the fourth overall pick in the draft but don’t have a big need for the consensus fourth-best player in the draft.

With their eyes set on winning games sooner rather than later, the Kings could value a trade that returns a pick still in the lottery but also gives them more veteran players ready to make an impact.

That’s where the Wizards come in as a strong fit to help the Kings get a deal done. The WIzards could build a package around the tenth overall selection and a number of different players depending on what it is the Kings would most prefer.

A still young player that can help now, like Rui Hachimura, could be on intrigue. Or an older player like Kyle Kuzma, who is coming off a phenomenal season, could be someone the Kings value highly.

Either one of those two forwards would greatly improve the Kings depth. On the Wizards side of things, they’d be able to get a highly coveted prospect in Jaden Ivey out of Purdue. While they may have to pay a hefty price, Ivey would be worth most possible price tags and could slot in from day one as a strong fit alongside Bradley Beal.

He’d fit from day one and offers the long-term upside the Wizards so desperately need. If things go perfectly on draft night, we could see a massive deal between the Wizards and the Kings.
