Are the Washington Wizards better without Beal?

This might sound crazy to ask. The Grizzlies went 20-5 without Ja Morant last season, but we know the Grizzlies are astronomically better with Ja. So why would the Wizards be better without Beal?

This has nothing to do with a record anymore, but more in terms of the eye test. That Nets game was the pivotal point of this question. The effort was simply sad to watch, especially considering it was at home. However, that wasn’t the first time this season we have seen that.

When things get rough, the Wizards tend to slouch and become disengaged. Beal is one of the biggest culprits of that. It is great to score, but when stuff doesn’t go your way, you have to rally the troops. He might not have that quality.

Also, the usage of others has spiked in his absence.

Beal might need to sacrifice his game more often. He is the leader and best player. He is the supermax guy and should lead as such. The Wizards might be better without him — and it is not a crazy idea to have.
