It’s been over two years since the Washington Wizards traded John Wall, one of the greatest players in franchise history, to the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook. Tonight, he plays in his first game against the Wizards in DC.

It has been almost three years since we have seen Wall play a game in Washington. A tribute video is certain, and a long one is likely. No active player means as much to this team and this city as John Wall.

Since his injury, Wall has been traded, bought out, and signed to the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal that shook the NBA world, although, he is not the same as he was.

Although Bradley Beal won’t be playing for the Washington Wizards, simply seeing John Wall play will be enough to trigger nostalgia in every fan watching.

Wall and Beal were a dynamic duo that powered the Wizards to playoff trips for years, one being an elite slasher and play maker, the other spacing at an elite level. Sprinkle in Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter Jr with guys like Kelly Oubre and they were an amazing team to watch.

From his game winner against the Boston Celtics, to his highlight 360 layups, there will be plenty of highlights from these teams to show during tonight’s game to remember what all Wall has done for this franchise. it will be special.

The Clippers come into the game at 14-13, good enough for the ninth seed in the Western Conference, John Wall has been a major part of their game plan and has been leading the Clippers bench

He is averaging 12.6 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds on the season. He is set to get his first start of the season tonight meaning we will hear his name announced in DC again. Truly a special moment for all Wizards fans.

Tonight, will surely be a night to remember as we finally get to see a tribute video for John Wall as well as his return to Washington. We will also likely get to see Bradley Beal reunite with his old teammate before and after the game as well.
