The Washington Wizards most anticipated game in years, the John Wall return game. The Los Angeles Clippers traveled to the District of Columbia to face their point guard’s former team.

Kyle Kuzma started off as a man on a mission, hitting five threes on just as many attempts in the first half, helping him score 25 points in the first two periods of play. He was the Wizards player of the game.

Jordan Goodwin also had a great game, putting in 17 points, six assists, and six steals. He was a major factor in the Wizards game plan last night. Those six steals break a career high that was set just the day before as he continues to prove that they need to give him an actual deal.

Everything was going right for the Washington Wizards; we even saw a pair of threes from Deni Avdija. How could this game possibly go wrong?

Many, many things went wrong. Oh, so wrong. The Wizards held a 13-point lead with four minutes and 36 seconds left in the third quarter and managed to go into the fourth quarter down by two.

The Clippers held onto this momentum and rode it to a 114-107 win over the Wizards. There was no shortage of mistakes late in the game that snowballed into this back breaker of a loss.

On the nice side of things, John Wall played really well. He pitched in 13 points and three assists complimented by two steals and a block while proving without any shadow of a doubt that the Capital One Arena truly is his house.

Kristaps Porzingis played really well until the last possession of the game for the Wizards. He was scoring, rebounding, moving the ball, playing elite defense, everything you want out of a star player. Then there was that last possession.

The Wizards inbound the ball down by three with 24 second left on the shot and game clock, they inbound to Porzingis, he takes maybe three dribbles and takes the most contested shot of his life with Kawhi Leonard right in his face.

This was immediately followed by a flagrant foul from Deni Avdija, another player who had a good game up until the last 24 seconds. The Clippers hit four more free throws and Wizards fans left in shame.

This was a very disappointing game that many fans will try to never remember, even with the John Wall tribute video.
