Sometimes, you’d rather be lucky than good, and in the case of the Washington Wizards, they’re lucking out on superb timing when they face the Orlando Magic this evening.
The Magic have eight players facing suspension following Wednesday night’s incident involving Moritz Wagner and Killian Hayes of the Detroit Pistons, as Orlando is dealing with the fallout of losing several players off their roster ahead of tonight’s game.
Meanwhile, following their 10-game losing streak, Washington has gone 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, and have four wins in their last five matchups.
Here’s the latest odds for tonight’s game, plus a Wizards vs. Magic best bet to consider:

Wizards vs. Magic Prediction and Pick
As mentioned, the Magic are insanely short-handed this evening, and although suspensions for all eight players are staggered, here’s a list of player Orlando won’t have available due to both suspension and injury.
- Moritz Wagner
- Jonathan Issac
- Chuma Okeke
- Jalen Suggs
- Cole Anthony
- Mo Bamba
- Wendell Carter Jr.
- R.J. Hampton
- Gary Harris
Even with so many Orlando players out, Wizards bettors may be reluctant to take them as a road favorite, and it’s understandable. Washington is just 5-14 straight up this year on the road.
However, they have been average in covering in this spot, going 8-9-2 ATS (against the spread) this season.
This line is already on the move, so if you can still find Wizards -4.5, I’d jump on it fast, but would still consider betting it up to 5.5 as well.
