One of the biggest things lacking from the Washington Wizards is consistency.

Whether it’s the players or the front office, even the coaching, the Washington Wizards have not been consistent at all recently. This needs to change soon. Consistency is key to finding a winning culture.

The front office has also not been making decisions consistently. Very similarly to the Los Angeles Lakers, they almost seem like they have multiple hands on the steering wheel. They need to start making decisions that lead toward one goal.

Head coach Wes Unseld Jr is not blameless either as he is the one failing to put the players in positions to succeed. He needs to keep the players in roles where they can succeed.

The players have not had consistent roles from game to game this past year, this has caused inconsistent play from many of their players. This has largely affected the young players like Deni Avdija and Rui Hachimura.

Bradley Beal has been the best scorer of the year for the Wizards, yet he struggles to stay on the floor at times due to a concerning injury history. Health should not only help him, but also the team as well.

These are just some of the nagging issues that have been holding the Washington Wizards back from their full potential as a team. If they can change these things in the new year, they should have no problem building a competing team.
