Trading for Rudy Gobert could be the block buster move that the Washington Wizards need.

Rudy Gobert has been nothing short of awful this season. This is largely due to the complete and utter lack of chemistry in Minnesota. Whether it be on the court or off the court, there is no team chemistry there.

This makes him a perfect trade option for the Washington Wizards as he is now much cheaper than he was over the offseason. Still, Kyle Kuzma would be a must for this trade to work out financially.

On top of the huge player haul that the Timberwolves would require, they would likely also need draft compensation. Nowhere near what they gave up for Gobert, but two first round picks at the very least.

This is the least likely trade and the one that helps the Wizards the least, but it is still one to consider as they head towards the deadline.

If the Washington Wizards can pull off one of these trades and complement it with a nice signing from the buyout market, it should put them into a great spot. It will also fix one of their biggest weaknesses in their rim protection.
