Trade scenario No.1: John Collins to join Kristaps Porzingis.

The Washington Wizards would be putting together the best offensive frontcourt in the NBA, there wouldn’t even be any real contenders for that title. They would also be incredibly underrated defensively as both Kristaps Porzingis and John Collins tend to fly under the radar on defense.

This would give the Washington Wizards a dynamic duo at the four and the five, but they would still need to find a point guard to bring the team together. This would likely need to be paired with another trade focused on bringing a true point guard to DC for the first time since John Wall was traded.

On the other side of the trade, Kyle Kuzma would find himself paired next to one of the most polarizing point guards in the NBA in Trae Young. Not only would he be getting a great boost to his open looks, but he would also gain greater spacing from Bogdan Bogdanovic and Dejounte Murray at the wing slots.

Even any potential defensive mistakes would be cleaned up as he would be one slot removed from the big man Clint Capela. This could bring the Atlanta Hawks the two-way style of play that they need to reach their true potential as a team.
