The Atlanta Hawks have already discussed trading John Collins for Kyle Kuzma.

The Washington Wizards may not have the best roster in the league, but neither do the Atlanta Hawks. They could both improve each other’s rosters by swapping Kyle Kuzma and John Collins.

John Collins has struggled to produce for the Hawks since they moved for Clint Capela. This is likely due to the fact that he gets his best production in the paint and is no longer able to get good looks near the rim.

This would be very different on the Wizards as they would likely slide Kristaps Porzingis over to the center position. The biggest difference between Porzingis and Capela is the ability to shoot the three ball.

This would be huge for Collins as it would allow him to return to his greatest strength without having to play center where he is neither tall enough nor strong enough to make a difference on defense.

The idea of a team as huge as Deni Avdija/Corey Kispert, John Collins, and Kristaps Porzingis may just be enough to make Tommy Sheppard change his mind. The offense in the painted area would definitely look incredible.

Verdict: possible, but unlikely
